For everyone who invigilates exams in a UAE school: teachers, teaching assistants, office staff and external invigilators. Built around the British-curriculum boards (Pearson Edexcel, which follows JCQ rules, Cambridge International and OxfordAQA), with notes for AP, SAT and MoE exams. Each board sets its own rules. This course teaches the rules most boards share, and shows you where your exam board decides, with JCQ and Cambridge as worked examples. You will learn what an invigilator is for, who must not invigilate, and how to prepare the room, check identity with respect for religious dress, and deal with phones and watches. You will practise starting and supervising an exam, handling late arrivals, and what you must never say or do. You will learn what to do when a candidate leaves the room or is unwell, when you suspect malpractice, and in an emergency. A UAE module covers Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2023 on exam cheating and the duty to report, Ministry of Education consequences for cheating, exams at unusual local times and on UAE weekend days, keeping scripts and student data confidential, and passing any worry about a candidate's safety to your child protection lead straight away. It ends with access arrangements and collecting scripts. The rule throughout: if you are not sure, don't guess. Ask the exams officer.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
12 questions are selected for each attempt, one group per learning outcome. You need 80% to pass. If you do not pass, the feedback points you back to the section each question came from. You have 3 attempts to pass. A pass is never counted, so you can always take the course again once you have passed. 5 attempts that do not pass within 12 months close the assessment for 12 months.
An employer sees whether you passed and your certificate. They never see your answers, your scores or how many attempts you took.
18 sections you can read or listen to, and a certificate when you pass.
One section is open below. The other 17, the narration, the transcripts and the assessment come with Basic or Premium.
Invigilators run the exam room while candidates are in it. A camera can't do this job. Under JCQ rules, CCTV can't be used to invigilate candidates.
You give every candidate an equal chance, keep papers and scripts secure, stop rule-breaking, and avoid mistakes in how the exam is run.
The school running the exam is called the centre. The centre must train you on the current rules and keep a record of your training. Cambridge requires invigilators to be trained every year.
If a company placed you in the school, its word that you are trained is not enough. The centre itself must be sure you know the rules.
If you are not sure whether something is allowed, don't guess. Ask the exams officer.
Based on: JCQ Instructions for conducting examinations (ICE) 2026-27 (12.1 CCTV, 12.3-12.7 training and records, 12.6 agency assurance); the Cambridge Handbook 2026 (4.6(b)-(c), training every year); and general good practice (the purposes list wording, the flipcards and the rule 'ask the exams officer').
Access starts as soon as you subscribe. You can get a full refund within 7 days of buying, as long as you have not opened any section of a course or attempted an assessment.
