For everyone who works in a UAE school: teachers, teaching assistants, office, bus, canteen and other staff, in public and private schools in every emirate. This course is not a first aid certificate, and it does not make you a trained first aider. Your school decides which roles need a certificate and arranges accredited practical training for them. This course teaches what any adult does until the school nurse, a trained first aider or the ambulance arrives. This course covers the most common emergencies. Module 5 also covers heat illness, fainting, burns and chemical splashes, low blood sugar in diabetes, and sprains and suspected broken bones. For anything else, follow the student's health plan if they have one and send for the school nurse. Call 998 if the student doesn't respond, isn't breathing normally, is confused or getting worse, or you are not sure. You can do this course in two sittings: modules 1 to 3, then modules 4 and 5. The course remembers where you are. You will learn the UAE emergency numbers and the one rule for every medical emergency: call 998 now and send someone for the school nurse at the same time. You will learn how to check an emergency safely, when to use the recovery position, how to help with CPR guided by the 998 call handler, and how a defibrillator (AED) is used. You will learn the first response to choking, heavy bleeding, shock, seizures, head injuries, asthma and anaphylaxis, always following the student's health plan. You will also learn basic infection control, why you tell first and then record, and what to do straight away if an injury may not be an accident. UAE facts come from DHA, ADEK, DoH, the Abu Dhabi and Sharjah safety codes and UAE law; the first aid steps follow current international guidelines (European Resuscitation Council 2021 and 2025, American Heart Association and American Red Cross 2024–2025, ISPAD 2022).
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
14 questions are selected for each attempt, one group per learning outcome. You need 80% to pass. If you do not pass, the feedback points you back to the section each question came from. You have 3 attempts to pass. A pass is never counted, so you can always take the course again once you have passed. 5 attempts that do not pass within 12 months close the assessment for 12 months.
An employer sees whether you passed and your certificate. They never see your answers, your scores or how many attempts you took.
17 sections you can read or listen to, and a certificate when you pass.

In a first aid emergency at school, the adult nearest the student often has to act first. This course teaches what any adult does until the school nurse, a trained first aider or the ambulance arrives.
This course is not a first aid certificate, and it does not make you a trained first aider. Some roles need an accredited first aid certificate. Your school decides which roles need one, and arranges practical training with an approved provider.

UAE law supports people who help. Under Article 55 of the UAE Penal Code (Federal Decree-Law No. 31 of 2021), an act done in good faith to give urgent help to save someone's life is not a crime, even if it causes harm. Do what this course teaches, and follow the 998 call handler. This is reassurance, not legal advice.
